Apply to Become A  Host Family In Atlanta!

 

Directions:

Please answer the following questions, after we review your application, we will contact

you in the next 4 to 6 weeks!

 

International college age Students come from overseas to study in Atlanta. They stay in the host family for:

Short term -- 2 months to 1 year for language school before going to college

Long term -- 1 to 4 years,   college

 

The students are looking for host family to live with to know more about the American Culture and practice English. Good for families that are interested in the other Culture.   The host family house need to be close to a bus line or Marta station.

If your house is not near Marta or a bus line, we can still put you on a list for the students that has a car.  It may take a while for a student to get a car, please be patient!

We are specifically looking for host family within 30-minute commute one way by bus or Marta for the following locations, the shorter the commute the better:

 

On Bus Line: 

 

1     Near North Lake Mall:  No. 30 and No. 125

 

2     Near North Acadian Rd:  No. 75, No. 36, and No.125

 

On Marta:

3     Five point Station or bus line that leads to five point station

 

4     Marta MidTown Station

 

5     Marta Avondale Station

 

Host Family fee schedule per student per month:

-- All host families will need to email a picture of the house, a picture of the room for the international student and a picture of your household  members  to atlhost@ConnectGreatInc.com for the student’s family to review  before a student is placed.

Is it feasible to walk to Marta station from your home? How many minutes?

What is your house’s private high school?
Does the private high school have school bus?
Do you have any children that go to the same private high school?
If not, can you provide transportation for the host student to and from the private school every school day? The student may pay extra money for this service to you.
Can you provide 3 good references once a student is interested in living in your home?
Can you provide the clean police statewide clearance report for anyone over 18 in your household once a student is interested in living in your home?
Do you understand that whether or not you can finally become a host family mainly depends on whether there is a student interested in the house’s location, environment, and accessibility to the schools the students intend to go, which is out of your control and Connect Great’s Control?
Do you understand Connect Great is not responsible for your health or Safety while hosting a Connect Great Student?
Have you emailed a picture of your house, a picture of the room for the international student and a picture of your household members to atlhost@ConnectGreatInc.com for the student’s family to review? Please do it before you say Yes!
