Apply to Become A  Host Family

In Upland or Inland Empire!

Directions:

International (Mainly Chinese)  Middle School, High School and  college age Students or   nurses come from China to study in Upland. They are looking for host family to live with to know more about the American Culture and practice English. Good for families that are interested in the Chinese Culture.  

They stay in the host family for:

Short term -- 2 weeks to 6 months for summer camp or culture exchange program 

Long term -- 1 to 4 years, for college

If your house is not within walking distance from a bus stop or hospital or nursing home , we can still put you on a list for the nurses when they start to observe in the medical facility.  It may take a 2 or 3 months before a nurse start their observation, please be patient!

All host families will need to get the following pictures ready and email to Uplandhost@ConnectGreatInc.com, this will help start the matching processing even while the students are in China, so once they arrive, when the 2 parties meet, both can decide if they will accept each other as host family and host student.

-- a picture of the room for the international student 

-- pictures of the whole household members

*A Picture of the international student will be presented to the host family   before a student is placed.

Student Host Family Requirements:

Within walking distance to  a bus stop or a Metro Link Station

Or Within walking distance to a hospital or a nursing home

Private Furnished bedroom

Use of Landry Facilities

Bed and bath linens

Study Desk provided

Quiet study environment

Have Clean background
