1          Please fill out the application on line at ConnectGreatInc.com, send in your current resume and picture.

2          After we review your application, resume, and picture, if we think you  meet the requirements of the schools in China, we will call you to confirm your application and to do an initial telephone interview. Sometimes we get the application from the applicant, but can not reach them to go to the next step. Please do not just give us a telephone No. that you never pick up! It is very important that we have your current and correct telephone No. to reach you!

3     We send your information to the schools in China.

4          Once the schools are interested in your resume and ready to offer you a job, they will send us the contract to be forwarded to you.

Most times, the schools will make their decisions based on your resume, your picture and our recommendations. Our recommendations mostly come from the initial interview we did with you. Sometimes before the schools make an offer, they may do a telephone interview first. During the recruitment high seasons, the turn around time can be several days, which means in several days we may find you a job! That is why in the application we ask you if you are ready to go to a new country, because it can happen very fast in some case!

5         We email you the Contract from the school and Connect Great “Teaching In China” Service Agreement, if you have questions and concern, we can help you to communicate with the school and clarify your concerns.

6          If you accept the offer and School Contract, please sign the School Contract and the Connect Great  Service Agreement and mail us the original signed Contract, original signed Service Agreement and $300 Service Fee (in the form of money order or cashier’s check payable to Connect Great Inc.)

 * We are not asking for the Service Fee until we find you a teaching position you

accept! We are a service oriented company. We make sure out clients are happy!

* If you reside in other countries other than USA and Canada, there may be another address for you to send the above 3 items.

7          Once we received the above 3 items, we will notify the school on your decision to accept the offer and go on to the next step.

1)         If you have a current passport, the School will start to apply your work authorization (WA) from the Chinese governmental authority State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) P. R. China or its local subsidiaries. This is a complicated 10 to 15 day process, the School needs to get approvals from different governmental departments. It not only cost time but also cost money. If you back out and end up not teaching in the School, Connect Great will be penalized by the school to bear the cost of the work authorization and our reputation with the school may be hurt too. That is why we only work with serious candidates!

            The School will need the following documents from you to process the Work Authorization (WA), please email to us a scan copy of :

-- A scan copy of Your current passport

--Your full current resume

-- A scan copy of Your Degrees

-- A scan copy of Your teaching Certificate or ESL certificate ( if Applicable)

2)      If you do not have a current passport, please apply for a passport ASAP, please refer to the document “14 Travel Passport App Procedure”. Once you get your passport, please scan it  to us and we will forward it to the school to process the work authorization (WA).

8          Once the Work authorization (WA) is approved, some School will email the scan copy of the WA and mail the original at the same time, some schools will mail you the original WA directly, If you get the scan copy first, you can go to the Chinese consulate or the Chinese consulate visa authorized agency of your area to apply for a visa to work in China. Ask them since the original WA is on the way, can you apply visa with the scan copy WA?  You will submit the original WA once it arrives.  If you live outside of the city where the Chinese consulate reside and use a Chinese consulate visa authorized agency, it takes around 10 business Days for regular service and 3 business days for express service to get the Chinese Work Visa.

9          In the meantime, you can book the airline ticket, we may be able to help you to get a less expensive ticket. Make sure you leave enough time to get the visa before the departure date.

10        Once you book the airline ticket and get the approved visa, please notify us and we will work with the school to arrange pick up and transportation when you get to China.

11        Once you get to school, the school will have orientation for Foreign teachers to know more about the Chinese culture, law and school policy.

12        Before you leave for China, we will give you a Telephone No. dedicated for Callers from China. If you have any questions in China, besides getting help from the School and China’s local authority, you can also call us here in US from China, free of international long distant charge, all you need to pay is the Chinese local call toll! After you get to China, please let us know your new telephone No. in China. We would follow up with you to see you are settled in China. We like to hear from you to see how you feel about China!
